VNE is invested in Renewable Energy and Reduction of our Carbon Footprint
The VNE renewable energy goals are to decrease our overall energy costs, to increase
our use of renewable energy sources, and to reduce our overall carbon footprint.
Our sustainability plan is designed to enhance our opportunity to enact renewable (green) options that are available to us now while keeping an eye on changes in the energy marketplace and emerging technologies as we move forward.
Our progress, to date, has resulted in the following:
1. Solar thermal installation to address our hot water usage was completed in May 2015 and is fully operational.
2. Solar photovoltaic cells have been added to provide a renewable source for our electricity usage needs (September 2015).
3. VNE is actively engaged in conducting an ‘Asset Regeneration Profile’ (ARP) that will identify a full range of Green Initiatives compatible with our building and our needs. The ARP will target three tiers:
Full assessment of our current energy usage
Development of a Comprehensive Sustainability Action Plan
