VNE is invested in Renewable Energy and Reduction of our Carbon Footprint
The VNE renewable energy goals are to decrease our overall energy costs, to increase our use of renewable energy sources, and to reduce our overall carbon footprint.
Our sustainability plan is designed to enhance our opportunity to enact renewable (green) options that are available to us now while keeping an eye on changes in the energy marketplace and emerging technologies as we move forward.
Our progress, to date, has resulted in the following:
Solar Thermal Installation to address our hot water usage was completed in May 2015 and is fully operational.
Efficient Building Air Handler Units installed in 2020 which will save energy and provide better air quality.
Modern Condensing Boiler System to be installed Summer 2020 which is up to 15% more efficient.
Energy Management System is being installed alongside the Boiler Replacement project. This will include all major building equipment (Chillers, Air Handlers, Roof Fans, Cooling Towers, Boilers, Hot Water Heaters, etc.) so our Engineers may monitor it for energy usage, reliability and more.
New Roof installed in 2020 with multiple layers of insulation.
LED Lighting is being installed throughout the buildings hallways, stairwells, garages and utility rooms to reduce our footprint.
